Thoughts on Changing at Kempton
Changing heads to Kempton this evening for the 17.45. George Downing is on board for the mile nursery. Changing is quite a small filly, which is unusual for her family who are generally big scopey sorts. She hasn’t done much on the racecourse to date but has definitely taken a step forwards in her homework over the past few weeks. She should also enjoy the extra distance which she races over today. That should all add up to give her a bit more of a chance this evening.
The race features several having their first run in handicap company and it would seem the winner would have every chance of coming from this category as the standard set by those with more experience is set by Secratario and Progressive Jazz. Shadow Seeker should relish the extra distance and if finding improvement for it looks the big danger as his form over shorter was reasonable in the context of this race.
