Thoughts on Chica Rapida this afternoon

Chica Rapida runs in the 4.20 at Lingfield this afternoon (Thursday 29th of October). Paddy Pilley takes the ride in the apprentice handicap. Chica wears blinkers for the first time on what is her handicap debut to focus her as she has run a bit in snatches to date. Her mark looks fair and she can hopefully be competitive if handling the track, as she isn’t still the finished article and this can be a tricky spot for a horse as big as her.

It’s quite a competitive heat, Chiswick Bay looks the best horse in the race and although not as good on the all weather as the turf there is every reason to think he should be dangerous in this company. Indominatble Spirit has been effective over course and distance recently and can be forgiven a lessor effort over further last time out and will probably be blazing the trail.
