Thoughts on Chitra

Chitra runs this afternoon in the 2.25 at Lingfield. Adam Kirby takes the reins in the 5 furlong handicap and they are drawn in stall 7. Chitra bids for an eighth career win.

A tight contest with plenty of pace. Smokey and Capla Spirit meet again after a very tight finish over course and distance a couple of weeks ago but nearly anyone of the runners could play a part with not much between them and most in good form.

Chitra is owned and bred by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. She is by Sea The Moon, out of the Shamardal mare, Persian Star. Chitra will go to the Tattersalls Virtual Sale on 4th February as a broodmare and racing prospect.
