Thoughts on Chitra

Chitra runs this evening in the 5.30 at Wolverhampton. Adam McNamara is aboard the filly for the five furlong handicap and the pair are drawn in stall 1. The filly has been running solidly of late and a similar performance should see her involved again.

The race has an open look to it with last time out winner Mutabaahy looking to set the standard, if he can overcome the disadvantage of a wide draw. Duke of Firenze bids to turn the tables and is a danger at this level. Secretfact is another last time out winner but this is a deeper race and he will have to find more again. Zulu Zulander finished just in front of Chitra last time and should be in amongst it again.

Chitra is by Sea The Moon, out of the Shamardal mare, Persian Star. She was bred and is owned by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. She will be led up today by James Pulley, and overseen by Travelling manager, Shaun Johnson, who rides the filly at home.
