Thoughts on Chitra This Afternoon

Our last runner of 2019, Chitra, heads to Lingfield this afternoon for the 12.20pm Class 5 Handicap. Richard Kingscote, who steered the filly to victory last time out, is in the irons for the five furlong race. She has drawn wide in stall 8, but as the filly is capable of breaking well it should not be too much of a disadvantage.

It is an interesting race, as Chitra meets Something Lucky and Warrior’s Valley once again, who she both beat last time out.

Chitra was bred and is owned by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. She is by Sea The Moon, out of Sharmadal mare, Persian Star. She will be led up by Ilse Belien and overseen by Claire.
