Thoughts on Chitra Today
Chitra runs in 6.25pm at Chepstow this evening. Richard Kingscote is aboard for the five furlong handicap, Richard has steered the filly first past the post in five of their seven starts together. She has won over five and six furlongs so the stiff finish should pose no problems, she is probably better on quicker ground so hopefully it has been a drying day at the course.
Peggie Sue ran a nice race on her return from lockdown and probably sets the standard here. She handles most going and has the advantage of recent match practice. Bellevarde should handle the conditions and similarly has the advantage of recent run.
Chitra was bred and is owned by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. She is by Sea The Moon, out of Shamardal mare, Persian Star. The filly will be led up by James Pulley and overseen by Claire.
