Thoughts on City Cyclone

City Cyclone has his second start in the 2.59 at Yarmouth this afternoon (Sunday 25th, September). Richard Kingscote takes the ride in the one mile novice race.

City Cyclone made an encouraging start to his race career at Newbury last Saturday. He was green early but finished off to good effect over the seven furlongs once he had the hang of things. He looked as if the extra furlong would be a positive that day. This is a little quicker to return to action than ideal but this is the last opportunity over a mile to run on the turf in a restricted novice or maiden. He looks to have come out of the last race well so we felt it was worth giving this a shot.

Previous winners Fariba and Disdainful look the obvious contenders. Almarin would not need to find a lot of improvement to be competitive. Lord England is probably the most interesting of the debutants.

City Cyclone races in the colours of Ian Gosden and Wayne Clifford who purchased the the gelding as a foal. He will be led up today by Tamsin Karn who cares for him at home.
