Thoughts on Color Force
Color Force has her second start for the yard this afternoon in the 1.10 at Lingfield (Tuesday, November 21st). Josie Gordon maintains her partnership with filly in the 2 mile handicap. She plugged on over a mile and a half in an ordinary maiden at Newcastle on her first start for us. The distance should help her although there is a slight reservation about the sharp nature of the track as she is a big girl. A tongue tie is added, she has worn one previously. We ran an overground scope on the filly since her last run and it showed that it might help her, we’ll also be using a different bit for her today.
The race features quite a few with a bit to prove, even the too most obvious candidates to win this fall into that category. Shan Dun na nGall has a lengthy absence to overcome following a productive all weather campaign in this grade and Ding Ding has proven a decent hurdler since her last run on the flat and if able to translate that improvement back to this sphere should go very well here. Marshall Aid is the one with the most solid recent flat form.
