Thoughts on Dalatara – Friday

Dalatara is our sole runner of the day (Friday 26th May). She makes her racecourse debut at Haydock in the 4.25pm, Tom Eaves will be in the saddle.

Dalatara is a nicely bred filly who has progressed in her homework. There are definite signs of ability, but she looks likely to improve for a run or two. She may want a bit further in time too.

Zouzanna sets the obvious benchmark, but Ithra shouldn’t be discounted. The latter posted a decent time on her second start. She’s out of a decent race mare and the extra furlong could well be a plus based on both pedigree and her most recent run. Sub Rosa ran better than the bare result on debut and that race has worked out well and should take a step forward here.

Dalatara runs for owners Maureen Coxon & Partners and will be led up by Sammy Barnett.
