Thoughts on Diamante

Diamante runs in the 2.50 at Wolverhampton tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 28th of March). Kieran O’Neill is in the saddle for the mile and half a furlong maiden. The filly is going to need further in time, but needs to get her confidence up after getting unbalanced at Lingfield last time out. She goes better at home than she has done on the racecourse to date.

The small field creates an interesting contest with two fairly exposed horses in Armagnac and Major Cornwallis (who has lost his way somewhat) up against the likely improvers Golden Wolf who was third on debut and William Sayle who finished close enough despite not running a very efficient race following a bad start. The field is rounded out by newcomers.
