Thoughts on Disapproval at Kempton

Disapproval runs in the 6.55 at Kempton this evening. George Downing rides in the six furlong novice race. She ran ok on debut at Brighton but was disappointing next time out at Lingfield when she got very unsettled in the preliminaries and behind the gate and never really ran with any particular fluency. We’ve reached for the hood here to avoid and repeat and a really just looking for her to take a step forward so we can get her racing career back on track.

As of yet nothing in the field has set the world alight on their limited racecourse appearances and this is the sort of race most likely to be taken by an improver or a debutante. Iconic Knight and JoeGoGo have mixed efforts on the board and set a reasonable standard based on their best efforts. Ortiz is the most likely improver having been slow away o, debut but finishing quite nicely, of the debutantes nothing jumps out Ragstone Sand has the pedigree of a two year old winner and at least has the experience of a breeze up sale, albeit he did not fetch a particularly high price.
