Thoughts on Don Diego Vega
Don Diego Vega runs in the 3.15 at Salisbury today. George Downing rides the 2 year old colt in the seven furlong novice contest. Don Diego Vega was very green on debut at Newbury and hated the rain softened ground. He heads back to the races hopefully with more of an idea today. He will progress in time and is the type to develop with racing.
The race is wide open with little form to go on. Clara Peters was second on debut at the track over a furlong shorter and sets the standard amongst those with racecourse experience. The suspicion is that this race may go the way of a newcomer although nothing is an obvious standout on pedigree.
