Thoughts on Don’t Tell Claire
Don’t Tell Claire bids to go one place better then on both her starts this season in the 1.40 at Yarmouth. Adam McNamara will be in the irons for the seven furlong maiden. This is step up in distance and both runs this season have suggested that staying seven furlongs should be no trouble for this filly. She has a nice draw in the centre of the track for her first start on turf.
Astrogem sets the standard on her two runs over this trip to date, just ahead of Rhyme Scheme who has had a few more runs. However, One Small Step should ability on debut and should improve for the experience, whether dropping back in trip to seven furlongs will help her though is questionable. The once raced Aspiration and Performance Poet are both open to improvement after reasonably encouraging debuts.
Don’t Tell Claire races for Andrew Stonehill, she was purchased as a yearling by Daniel and Claire. She will be led up by James Pulley today and overseen by travelling manager Shaun Johnson
