Thoughts on Don’t Tell Claire
Don’t Tell Claire heads to Ascot for the 5.55 this afternoon. Liam Keniry rides in the seven furlong handicap. The consistent filly won nicely when switched to handicap company for the first time at Sandown. She takes a step up in class. Hopefully the rain stays away as she is probably better suited to faster ground.
The race looks competitive and has plenty of depth, likely favourite Double or Bubble won a maiden on the same card as Don’t Tell Claire in a very similar time over the same distance. That was just her second start and she is open to progression. Sunset Breeze has the highest rating and steps up in trip which might be bring further improvement. Rodin has been consistent at this sort of level and can be forgiven a lesser run in a good race over a mile last time. Mottrib can perhaps be forgiven a poor display on soft ground last time and his previous run looks strong in the context of this race.
Don’t Tell Claire runs for Andrew & Claire Stonehill and was purchased by Daniel and Claire at the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sales for them. This week we bought a stunning filly by Havana Gold out of a listed winning two year old for £12,000 please email daniel@kublerracing.com for more information.
Don’t Tell Claire will be led up by yard manager Lauren Webb and overseen by Travelling Manager Shaun Johnson this afternoon.
