Thoughts on Ellen Clacy

Ellen Clacy is our sole runner of the day, lining up at 2.30pm at Brighton under William Carson. Ellen Clacy has been disappointing to date. We have reached for the blinkers and are sending her to Brighton, in the hope the quirky track brings about the transformation in form that it can in many horses. She certainly has shown a lot more ability in her homework than what she has produced on the track so far.

Not the most inspiring group of horses to ever compete On The Nose brings the best piece of form, a second over course and distance to the table. Huntsman’s Moon also ran ok at the seaside venue over seven furlongs and has pedigree that suggests the extra distance will be a big positive. Handicap debutants Quartet and Icky Too could step forward in this easier company.

Ellen Clacy runs in the colours of owners Diskovery Partnership IX and will be led up by Ilse Belien who cares for her at home.
