Thoughts on Elterwater

Elterwater makes her return to action in the 8:30 at Southwell on Tuesday 30th of January. Dylan Hogan will take the ride in the eleven furlong handicap.

Elterwater showed reasonable form over seven furlongs at 2 and being bred to improve over further at 3 it was frustrating that she picked up an injury after her first run last season that meant she needed time off. We’ve left the hood off as her best run was without one.

A fairly open looking race, Distinction comes here in winning form, having won twice in his last four starts. Femme Patronne put up much the best performance of her short career when cheekpieces were added for the first time.

Elterwater runs in the colours of owner breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook. She will be led up by James Pulley.
