Thoughts on Evening Story
Evening Story is our first runner of the week, she heads to Kempton this evening where she will line up in the 8.00pm contest, Rossa Ryan will be in the saddle.
Evening Story ran a solid race when fifth last time out. That was her first race at beyond a mile, she finished strongly over the ten furlongs suggesting that this extra furlong would not be a problem. Whilst it wasn’t the difference between winning and losing she was further back than ideal that day and didn’t get a totally clear trip. The wide draw in what looks a potentially messy race from a pace perspective is slight negative. It’s also quite a quick turn around for a filly, but as Evening Story heads to Newmarket next week for the horses in training sale its worth a roll of the dice.
This looks a really open sort of a race and there are quite few very lightly raced fillies in here. However, the consistent Typcial Woman looks the most solid candidate.
Evening Story runs for owner breeders Gary and Lesley Middlebrook and will be led up by James Pulley who cares for her daily at home.
