Thoughts on Fiscal Policy

We end a busy week of runners with Fiscal Policy who heads to Salisbury for the 8.15pm. Rhys Clutterbuck will be on board today.

Fiscal Policy coudl easily be 4 from 4 this season, alas he has won once and been second three times. He has managed a mix of bad luck in running and slightly errant ways to cost himself. Although his win came over five a stiff six looks ideal, he may even get seven. The ground is a slight unknown his form is on good to firm, and his only effort on easier going was heavy at Catterick. You couldn’t draw too many conclusions based on that run.

A case could likely be made for most of these. Beau Jardine found quite a bit of improvement for first time blinkers and a drop in trip last time out. Brazen Idol should sharpen for his recent return to action. The blinkers come of De Bruyne, which is slightly odd as he ran well in them last time. A repeat of that leve makes him competitive here. Gannon Glory returns to six furlongs after finding five a bit sharp for new connections and won two starts back at Ponetfract.

The gelding is owned and was bred by Gary & Lesley Middlebrook. He will be led up by Epona Miller who cares for him daily at home.
