Thoughts on Glam Puss – Friday 27th Jan
Glam Puss heads to Wolverhampton for the 9.5 furlong fillies novice at 6.15pm on Friday 27th January. Dylan Hogan who won nicely on her at Southwell last time out and will be back in the saddle.
The filly has made a bright start to her career, finishing second on debut over seven furlongs at Kempton. Glam Puss followed that up with her win at Southwell over a mile. She hit the line well that evening and her dam is from a family of strong stayers. The filly steps up another furlong and half this evening. She is drawn in stall one which should allow her to get a nice position. The biggest challenge is that she has to carry a penalty and give a hefty weight for age allowance to the three year olds. She’s a big strong mare so hopefully she can counter that.
It’s the three year old Sapphire Seas and Too Much who have the form that look the obvious dangers. Sapphire Seas gets further weight off her back as a result of the claim of promising apprentice Billy Loughnane. Too Much takes a step up in trip and the form of her second hasn’t worked out particularly well. The unraced Mountain Song is well bred and for what its worth wears the first colours of Godolphin, while Sapphire Seas sports the second colours.
Glam Puss runs in the colours of owner and breeder Viv O’Sullivan. She will be led up James Pulley who cares for her daily at home. We have shares in some exciting two year olds for sale so you can enjoy the excitement of racehorse ownership.
