Thoughts on Helm Rock
Helm Rock runs in the 2.05 at Haydock this afternoon. Dylan Hogan rides in the mile handicap.
The gelding is looking for his third win of the season. He will appreciate the over night rain. He is well drawn in stall three. He has run well in highly competitive high value handicaps on his last couple of starts and this race has a different look to it.
The dangers here look to be the unexposed and potentially improving three year olds, Croupier in particular looks a danger. He won a competitive racing league event last time. Delorean is one open to further improvement following his win on handicap debut. Amongst the older horses Yaaser sets the benchmark on the back of solid recent runs.
Helm Rock runs for Capture the Moment, a syndicate managed by Daniel & Claire. He will be led up today by James Pulley who cares for him at home. We are about to launch a new syndicate for a very exciting young colt to run in the Capture the Moment colours. Look out for details this weekend.
