Thoughts on Helm Rock – Saturday

Helm Rock represents the stable on Saturday at Sandown, he lines up in the 2.15pm with Richard Kingscote in the saddle.

The gelding put up a career best when second over course and distance last time out. He is in great form at home and this is a decent prize for the five time winner to aim at. The challenge is this quicker ground and the wide draw.

Eilean Dubh drops back into slightly calmer waters. If he gets near his best of last season probably sets the standard. Dutch Decoy is another battle hardened campaigner who at his best will play a part off the back of a good run last time at Epsom. The lightly raced three year old Bodorgan looks the type open to progression. He ran well in what is always a strong affair at Haydock last time. He may not be as battle hardened as most of his rivals but could yet prove at least as talented.

Helm Rock runs in the colours of owners Capture The Moment VII. He will be led up today by Lauren Webb who rides him daily at home.
