Thoughts on Hilltop

One runner today, Hilltop lines up at Woverhampton today in the 5.30pm (Tuesday 19th March). Joesphine Gordon takes the ride in the 3 year old Novice Stakes over 1 mile and 142 yards.

Hilltop is still learning to race, slow away on both her starts she needs to improve out of the gates. She was a bit keen on her second run and endured a wide trip. The aim is to get her to settle better.

Lady of Spain sets the clear standard on form following her debut victory. Her rivals need to take a step forward, Operate looking among the more likely on that front. Both the debutants Joolianoss and King’s Coronation have pedigrees that suggest they can make up into useful types.

Hilltop runs for owners Gary and Lesley Middlebrook who also bred the filly. She will be led up today by Epona Miller who rides her daily at home.
