Thoughts on Hilltop Ranger at Lingfield this evening

Hilltop Ranger runs in the 7.50 at Lingfield this evening. Steve Drowne teams up with the filly in the seven furlong maiden. She  made a promising debut over seven furlongs at Goodwood, after a slow start and being a bit green in the early part of the race she travelled well and finished to good effect. Having handled Goodwood on similar ground, the conditions of todays race should be fine.

The race is competitive with four or five horses having shown similar levels of form, Captain Scoobie and California Lad have marks in the mid seventies and Crystallographer was promising on debut and should improve.
