Thoughts on Jack Blane

Jack Blane runs in the 2.40 at Kempton this afternoon. George Downing rides in the seven furlong handicap. The partnership won a similar race two starts back at Wovlerhampton, last time out things didn’t really fall their way and they were trapped wide for much of the race. With a good draw in stall two that should not be the case today.

The race looks quite open as A Sure Welcome who has won his last three has a tricky draw to overcome but he keeps getting the job done. Robin’s Purse returns from an absence and has a decent run over this trip to her name. Coverham ran well last time out looking as if the extra distance would be ideal but has a tough draw to overcome.
