Thoughts on Jack Blane at Pontefract
Jack Blane
Pontefract 2.20
Jack Blane has his second careers start at Pontefract in the 2.20 median auction Maiden stakes. A smart horse that will have learnt a great deal from him first run and is showing promise on the gallops at home. He ran green last time out as we did expect and is a son of Kheleyf the that produced any amount of two year old winners. The trip could be on the sharper side for him but we think the testing track will suite and he can only improve from his first start. He is partnered by Dane O’Neil who is sure to get the best out of him on the day. Both Sheepscar Lad and Father Mckenzie have had a busy two year old campaign and I could see one of the less exposed horses springing up a challenge.
