Thoughts on Jal Mahal

Jal Mahal makes her debut for the yard in the 3.55 at Wolverhampton this evening. Tim Clark rides in the seven furlong novice race. She is a big raw filly who had stalls issues with her previous trainer. With a lot of work with the experts Gary and CraigWitheford she has passed her test. She has ability enough to win something but today is about getting her to enjoy her racing and a starting point for the future.

It’s a very difficult race to sum up as there’s not a lot of convincing form on offer. Heavenly Holly won a similar event last time out and is the obvious candidate to win the race. Beyond her it would require a step forward on all form to date. Stand N Deliver is perhaps the most likely to build on an ok debut.
