Thoughts on La Verite

One runner this evening, La Verite heads off to Wolverhampton where she will make her handicap debut in the 5.30pm contest, Dylan Hogan takes the ride.

La Verite has run OK in her maidens and is still a raw filly who will progress with racing. Her mark looks a bit harsh on the bare form of what she has achieved so the extra couple of furlongs will need to bring about some further improvement.

In a race that lacks strong form the consistent at this level Glistening Nights looks the one setting the standard and his pedigree suggests the extra distance will be a positive. Livinthelife has shown enough to suggest he’d be up to winning handicaps at this level and the extra couple of furlongs are likely to help as he transitions to this grade.

La Verite runs in the colours of owners Newclose and will be led up by Ilse Belien who cares for her daily at home.
