Thoughts on L’enclume
L’enclume heads to Kempton for the 5.45 this afternoon. She will be partnered by Richard Kingscote who won a novice aboard the filly in January. They tackle two miles for the first time today. The filly was plugging on at the end of her first attempt at a mile and three quarters last time out. We are hopeful she can get the trip.
A fairly open looking race, Wannabe Brave is the least exposed and perhaps open to further improvement therefore. He was third on handicap debut over course and distance. The runner up that day World Without Love seeing off L’enclume on her most recent start. First Charge hasn’t shown much of late but won this race last year so can’t be discounted.
L’enclume runs in the colours of owner breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook. She will be led up by James Pulley who cares for her at home.
