Thoughts on Lil Guff

Lil Guff runs this afternoon at Newmarket in the 5.52. Ben Curtis is on board the 2 year old filly in the 6 furlong Novice race. The pair are drawn in stall 14. Lil Guff ran a really nice race on her second start and had she not been green when hitting the front might well have won. Hopefully she has learned from that experience.

Lil Guff

Lil Guff probably has achieved the most on the track of those that have run, however there are some well bred debutants – notably Serenity and a couple of horses that may well step forward from their debuts, such as Object who ran in what was probably a strong race first time out, the winner subsequently won the Coventry at Royal Ascot. Made In Brockley is another who should step for race course experience.

Lil Guff was bred and is owned by Wayne Clifford. She is by Twilight Son, out of the Holy Roman Emperor mare, Lady McGuffy. Today she will be led up by Epona Miller, who rides her a lot at home and cares for her and will be overseen by travelling manager, Shaun Johnson.
