Thoughts on Monopoli at Kempton tomorrow.
Monopoli has her first run for us in the 5.30 at Kempton tomorrow evening. Richard Thomas takes the ride in the 10 furlong handicap. This filly was picked up at the horses in training sale for an absolute bargain price. She has done some nice work at home but she will come on for the run tomorrow. It is very much a learning exercise as her only previous run on the polytrack doesn’t read that well in the form book. This race should give us a better idea as to where to head to next time.
The race looks open. Noguchi has decent recent form and sets the standard that will have to be met, however there are a few horses in the race that have form that would see them win a contest of this nature if more recent starts can be forgiven. Askaud and Las Verglas Star could both be interesting if running to the best of their form whilst Hilali is lightly raced on the flat and has been in good from over hurdles recently.
