Thoughts on Moondial

Moondial runs at Chepstow today in the 4.20pm Nursery Handicap, Luke Morris will be on board.

Moondial was brave when winning over seven furlongs last time out. She held off a strong challenge from a rival and it looked as if this return to a mile would be no problem for her. The ground is an unknown, her sire and dam both handled some give in the ground, we will learn more today.

Moondial finished close to Amarillo Gold and Zakram earlier in the season, so it will be interesting to see how differing conditions impact the result today. Fullforward is one to look out for having qualified for his mark over much shorter distances there are elements of his pedigree that suggest this extra distance will be a positive and gelding does few horses any harm either.
