Thoughts on Moondial

One runner today, Moondial heads to Brighton where she lines up at 5.45pm with Jim Crowley in the saddle.

Moondial won nicely at Epsom last time which gives us confidence she should run well over this challenging track. She’s given members of the Diskovery Partnership loads of fun over the past two seasons winning three times.

This looks a nice oppertunity for Moondial. Turquoise Diamond was perhaps a little unlucky the way the race panned out last time at Epsom but nonetheless has a bit to still find with Moondial. Hobson Point has mixed form and was troublesome at the start last time (albeit under a very inexperienced rider). Major Gatsby is a solid older horse with a course win to his name, which is important around this track. Native Beach has some reasonable form in the book and drops in class here but hasn’t really been progressing in better races. Run CMC switched trainers and ran ok at Goodwood last time on his first appearance for new connections.
