Thoughts on our first two year old runner at Windsor tomorrow
Alaskan Phantom makes her debut in the 4.55 at Windsor tomorrow (Monday 20th of April). Tom Queally will ride the daughter of Kodiac in the five furlong maiden. She has a bit of size to her for a filly making her debut so early in the season but has taken everything well at home and has done enough work to suggest that a trip to the races will teach her plenty more. She still has a bit to come in her coat. She is drawn in a nice spot in stall one and can hopefully make use of this advantageous stall.
With the vast majority of the opposition unraced its a bit of a lottery trying to work out who the main dangers will be. Great Page was a yearling that we liked at the sales in Ireland last year, but the budget didn’t quite stretch far enough to secure. Rial was a small yearling but very athletic and well put together and the type to do well in a race like this.
