Thoughts on Outgate

Outgate lines up at Chester today (Thursday 5th May) under Ryan Moore in the 2.05pm. He ran a fantastic race on his seasonal debut at Newmarket a couple weeks ago. Outgate should strip fitter for that effort so he can take another step forward and hopefully go one better today. He has a good draw and his jockey recorded a hat trick at the course yesterday. Our only slight concern is that this is the softest ground he will of encountered. However, his mother enjoyed a bit of cut.

Koy Koy is still very much an unknown quantity, he ran out a ready winner of an easy ground Newbury novice race at the back end last season. That race lacked the depth typical of the venue but he beat what was there comfortably. He is also open to improvement. Bagstone probably has some of the best form of his rivals. having run well in some good nurseries last season and not discredited in stakes company either. His seasonal reappearance was a little underwhelming.

Outgate runs for owners and breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook and will be led up by Lauren Webb who rides him daily at home.
