Thoughts on Outrage

Outrage runs in the 12.20 at Newcastle today. Rob Winston rides in the six furlong handicap. He should be sharper for his recent run after a long layoff, however he will come on further for this run. We are concerned that the going is slower than standard and reports that the track is riding dead. As a horse that prefers coming from off the pace the apparent lack of pace in this race could be an issue too.

A competitive sprint handicap plenty come here with chances. Staxton is a three year old and still developing with every start and could be better than a handicapper in time. Ekhtiyaar hasn’t quite matched his best three year old form this season but is lightly raced and open to improve for his couple of runs this year. Shanghai Glory is a bit inconsistent but ran well last time and his best would see him go close. Raucous is in good form and will probably set the standard in this company.
