Thoughts on Outrage

Outrage is having his first run of 2022 and makes the long journey up to Newcastle to line up in the 5.30 at Newcastle on the Thursday evening (20th of January). Hollie Doyle in the saddle for the 5 furlong handicap. Outrage put up a strong performance over course and distance in November but has been somewhat lacklustre since. We hope that a return to his favourite venue will see him bounce back. He has given us many wonderful days winning ten times in total, but at some point age catches up with us all, everyone exciting with his trademark late charge.

This looks a decent heat, with fellow veteran Ornate likely to set the blistering pace that Outrage loves to run at. Ornate ran well last time out, but the big dangers look likely to come from the young brigade, Night On Earth started our for new connections in fine form finishing second and then winning two in a row, twice just ahead of Outrage. He can be forgiven a lessor effort since as he stumbled early and has been freshened up since. Look Out Lois is more than capable at this level whilst Ballyare has improved with racing and could well continue to do so.

Outrage is looked after by James Pulley who has travelled with him to lead him up today. He is owned by Capture the Moment & Crowd Racing who will be keeping everything crossed for a good result. We have a couple of really interesting ownership options available in some two year olds who are making great progress on the gallops at home, check out our horses for sale page to find out more.
