Thoughts on Outrage
Outrage heads to Newcastle for the 7.00 this evening. Kieran O’Neill will be aboard as the gelding steps up to six furlongs. All his eight wins to date have been over five furlongs, he does have several good placed efforts at six furlongs in his record including at this track. With a lack of five furlong options here at Newcastle a track which really plays to his run style, it is worth trying again. His training has been tailored to try and develop the last little bit of stamina required to win over six furlongs.
It’s a competitive sprint featuring several horses that Outrage has got the best of recently. Equitation caught the eye when staying on over five last month behind Outrage and might find the extra furlong evens things up between the rivals. Danzan has been running to a pretty solid level in this grade and slightly higher over this trip whilst Visionary returns from a long break and if at full fitness makes for an interesting contender.
Outrage will be lead up by Ilse Belien and supervised by our travelling manager Shaun Johnson.
