Thoughts on Outrage at Doncaster
Outrage bids for his hat trick today on the first day of the St Leger festival at Doncaster (Wednesday, 7th of September). Dane O’Neill rides in the five furlong handicap. Dane was on board for the first of Outrage’s victories this summer when a change of tactics proved key to the horse demonstrating the talent he has shown us at home for a long time. The slightly bigger field and the likely pace scenario should suit. The only concerns are being drawn towards the outside and that the ground might be on the slow side.
This represents a step up in class and will be the toughest test Outrage has faced yet. The in form Pea Shooter, Sandra’s Secret and the potential improver Love on the Rocks looks to be big dangers whilst a return to form from Seve who drops in class would also be no surprise.
