Thoughts on Outrage at Newcastle

Outrage runs tonight in the 6.15 at Newcastle. Adam McNamara is aboard the gelding and they step up in distance to six furlongs. The pair are drawn in stall 10. Outrage has done all his winning over five and is probably slightly better at that distance but his best form over six is enough to compete at this level and recent runs have suggested it is worth another crack.

Gun Metal easing in grade looks the horse to beat on the back of a solid performance in a stronger race last time out. Dandys Gold hasn’t run much of late but is another with good course form and is a danger. Fantasy Keeper a last time out course and distance winner needs to bring more to the table here but should not be discounted particularly as the race may well suit him tactically.

Outrage is by Exceed and Excel, out of the Cadeaux Genereux mare, Ludynosa. He will be led up by Ilse Belien, and overseen by Shaun Johnson who rides him at home.
