Thoughts on Passing Star at Chelmsford
Passing Star runs in the 9.00 this evening at Chelmsford (Thursday 22nd of February). George Downing takes the ride in the one mile handicap. He gets a decent draw for the first time in a while and does need things to set up right for him in his races. Retains plenty of his ability at home but has good days and bad days at the races but if everything falls right he will be competitive in this sort of company.
A race where horses making quick reappearances hold the key, Scribner Creek got no sort of luck earlier in the week over the extended mile at Wolverhampton in a better contest than this and if he is in the same form as two days ago will go well here. Palawan also went close on Monday at Kempton over seven furlongs in this grade, although he is arguably better over that trip.
