Thoughts on Passing Star at Newcastle today

Passing Star runs in the 2.15 at Newcastle this afternoon (Friday 7th September). Luke Morris rides in the seven furlong handicap. The gelding has thrown away good opportunities on his last couple of starts with slow breaks, so we gave him a sharpen up during the week with Gary Witheford. If he breaks on terms he should be competitive in this race.

Twilight has has won two from three since trying blinkers and can probably be forgiven defeat on soft ground and looks the horse to beat in race where not many have much solid recent form.
