Thoughts on Percy’s Lad (Friday)

Percy’s Lad heads to Wolverhampton today where he is set to line up in the 6.45pm contest with Dylan Hogan on board.

Percy’s Lad missed out on an ideal race at Chester a fortnight ago. He switches to the all-weather for the first time since joining us but trains well on it at home and has some experience on the surface for his previous yard. He seems well suited to racing around bends and this is a decent prize for a Friday night at Wolverhampton.

He’s run several big races this season and won plenty of prize money but it would be nice to get a win on the board for the year! He was a bit disappointing at York last time but he burned himself up from a bad draw, getting in to a battle for the lead when not settling fully and wasn’t given a hard race once his chance was done.

Percy runs in the colours of owner Alan Kerr and will be led up by Ilse Belien.
