Thoughts on Poppaea

One runner today at Wolverhampton. Poppaea lines up in the 4.25pm race with Jack Mitchell in the saddle.

Poppaea is making her first start for the yard, we are still getting to know her. We’ve put a tongue tie on her. She looked inconsistent for her previous trainer, so that’s something we need to understand what the reasons may have been. Her best run looking at her previous form will give her a small chance here.

Unusually for a race of this grade there are a few who have consistent recent form. Pyrrhic Dancer has one wis last two starts both over course and distance having tried a variety of trips previously looks the one to beat. Last time out winner Elusive Thorne is another.
