Thoughts on Promotion

Promotion lines up at Bath today (Wednesday 11th May) at 7.30pm, Hollie Doyle will be in the saddle. He ran a career best last time out in first time cheekpieces and having his first run on the turf. A repeat of that performance would give him a strong chance here.

Mrembo should appreciate the extra distance. She is out of a mare who stayed well and a lot of her siblings have also stayed well and this is her first race beyond a mile. Delahoussaye has some OK runs in better races but has also looked temperamental. The Residencies is having his first run of the season and has been gelded since his three runs shorter last year. He could be better suited to this task and might be a danger if he has strengthened over the winter.

Promotion will be running for owners J Lukas, T Aspinall & Partners. He will be led up by Tamsin Karn who cares for him daily at home whilst overseen by Shaun Johnson.
