Thoughts on Raimunda

Raimunda is having her first start of the year in the 4.40pm at Nottingham on Tuesday 21st May. Jim Crowley will be taking the ride in the 1 mile 2 furlong 50 yard fillies’ handicap.

Raimunda won her novice last year nicely. She’s still lightly raced and being a good sized filly one that we hope can go on this year. She’s got a long stride and should appreciate racing over ten furlongs. Her win came on very soft ground but she should be fine on good ground, although very quick ground probably isn’t likely to be her favourite surface.

Raimunda trained by Lambourn racehorse trainer Daniel & Claire Kubler.

The unexposed three year olds are difficult to get a real handle on. Reyaadah Star looks the most promising of them on form to date. Invisible Friend is lightly raced but has won at a higher level and if in top condition is a real danger here. Elladonna has been consistent in Class 4 company and should appreciate the drop in grade. There’s a good chance the step up in trip is a positive for her.

Raimunda runs for owners Gary & Lesley Middlebrook, who also bred the filly. She will be led up today by James Pulley.
