River Sprite is by Swiss Spirit, out of the Forest Camp mare, Camp Riverside. Today she will be led up by Ilse Belien and overseen by Shaun Johnson.

The race today is a tight handicap, River Sprite is amongst a group of lightly raced three year olds who take on some veteran campaigners who know how to win but perhaps aren’t stars. Cool Strutter is consistent at this level and although he has the hinderance of the widest draw he normally blazes a trail from the front so that may negate its effect. Comeatchoo could well be his main danger drawn down on the inside. Bold Decision is another who has the ability and reasonable enough recent form to contend for victory. Limaro Prospect is the most likely of the three year olds and connections may find the trip suits having tried five and seven on his last two starts. Badger Berry may come into the mix as he has good Southwell form and with the track riding slower then usual at Kempton that may suit him.

The filly races for the Diskovery Partnership. This is personally managed by Daniel and Claire and is made up of 5% and 10% shares. With the yearling sales well underway, Daniel and Claire are on the look out for the next Diskovery filly. Keep an eye out for posts in the near future and the for sale page!
