Thoughts on River Sprite

River Sprite runs in the 3.05 this afternoon at Chelmsford for the Diskovery Partnership. Adam McNamara is in the saddle for the seven furlongs handicap. River Sprite showed promise on debut last season when second at Kempton. She was a bit disappointing on her second start, however she ran at a time when a few of our horses were a bit below par. She is a big filly and has done well over the winter and we have been pleased with her homework. She was pretty much ready to run when racing was stopped and is pretty fit. She is nicely drawn. There is still a slight question as to her best trip we have had genetic analysis done which slightly contradicts what we saw on the racecourse last year, so we will start over seven furlongs and learn more today.

This is a difficult race to unravel as a group of three year olds they are all open to significant development since their last runs and most of them are lightly raced and it would be no surprise to see several showing improved form.

River Sprite races for the Diskovery Partnership which is a syndicate run by Daniel and Claire. We currently have shares in an athletic two year old filly by exciting young sire Kodi Bear available.
