Thoughts on Rosaceous’s chances at Newbury tomorrow
Rosaceous goes to Newbury tomorrow for the 1:50. Silvestre De Sousa takes the ride in the mile and a quarter maiden for three year old fillies. Rosaceous showed massive improvement in her second start recently at Leicester, despite showing signs of inexperience and her jockey losing his stick in the final furlong of the race. The mile seemed to suit her well last time, the ten furlongs is a bit of a question but she has done nothing to suggest it will be a problem. Its quite a fast turn around but she is a tough filly who takes her work well and came out of her last race very well. This is one of the last Racing Post yearling bonus races so we decided it was worth taking a chance as there looks to be a bit of give in the ground. She wouldn’t want it too fast.
The race looks to have some nice fillies in it. The well bred Toast of the Town has the best form in the book her, her recent second at Ascot in a strong race was very promising and sets a good standard.
