Thoughts on Saigon Suzi
Saigon Suzi runs this afternoon (Saturday 9th January) in the 5.45 at Chelmsford. Adam McNamara is in the irons for the ten furlong classified stakes. They are drawn in stall 9. It is the first time Saigon Suzi has run since having a breathing operation. She also wears a tongue strap today, which we hope will help her finish off her race today.
Aside from Zariyan, who has yet to win despite plenty of attempts the lightly raced horses look the ones to focus on here. Zariyan sets a standard of sorts, having been consistently close in similar in similar and even slightly better races. Joyfilly looked as if the extra furlong and a half would suit along with Brute Force who will find this a bit easier than his first run in handicap company are the most likely to take the steps forward required to win this. Recall it All has only had six starts and is another who could in on the action.
Saigon Suzi races for owner/breeder Viv O’Sullivan. The filly is by Sir Percy, out of the Dalakhani mare, Cio Cio San, she is a half sister to Nyala who was a winner for the yard. She will be led up by Alice Roberts, and overseen by Travelling manager Shaun Johnson.
