Thoughts on Saigon Suzi

Saigon Suzi makes her debut this evening at Salisbury. The filly runs in the 6.45 Novice Stakes and Liam Keniry is on board for the seven furlong race. The pair are drawn in stall 9. Saigon Suzi is half-sister to Nyala, who won for the yard over eight furlongs. Saigon Suzi will probably more effective over a mile but this looked a nice local place to start her career and gain some experience.

Saigon Suzi at home under Billie Portwin

The race looks to be between Anjah and Baashir looks like the one to watch, when going close on his debut being beaten by a neck and should have improved from that run.

Saigon Suzi is by Sir Percy and out of a Dalakhani mare, Cio Cio San. The filly was bred and is owned by Vivienne O’Sullivan. She will be led up today by Billie Portwin, who rides her everyday at home, and overseen by Shaun Johnson.
